Dirt V4: Creator Pack by adamthwaites copyright 2011. http://www.most-digital-creations.com/dirt_v4_creator.htm All of this product's content was created by adamthwaites (Adam Thwaites) Product Support: Admin@most-digital-creations.com Files List: ReadMe.txt License0409.txt (see the list below for all other included files) Needed Files List: Any application that can work with PSD files e.g. Photoshop, GIMP etc. (GIMP is available for free from gimp.org) Installation Instructions: Extract the Zip folder anywhere on your computer. Exact folder names and locations: ..\DirtPSD\ DirtFace.psd DirtLimbs.psd DirtTorso.psd Dirty.psd Application Instructions: 1. Open the graphic application you want to use. 2. Load one of the PSD overlays. 3. You will only see a white background at the moment. 4. Make sure that the layers dialog box is open for the program you are using (check your handbook for details if you need to). 5. Turn on/ make visible the layer you would like to use i.e. if you are planning on a coloured layer then use the Brown Dirt layer and if not simply use the Black Dirt layer. 6. Open a V4 skin texture. If you are using the DirtFace.psd then open a face texture etc. 7. Resize either the skin texture to match the size of the psd or vice versa. The psd is 4096x4096 pixels. 8. Copy and paste the skin texture into the psd. 9. Arrange the layers so that the skin texture is underneath the Dirt layer. 10. You can now either skip to step 16. or make some changes to the Dirt layer by following on. 11. You can make hundreds of possible changes to the Dirt layer using your graphics application. I'll run through a couple of the more common ones you might like to use. 12. Changing the colour: To change the colour you can change the hue of the Dirt layer or change colour balance options (check your handbook for details if you need to). 13. Changing the opacity: To change the opacity you can reduce the opacity levels of the Dirt layer to make it lighter or duplicate the layer to make it darker (check your handbook for details if you need to). 14. You could try many other possibilities like changing the contrast or brightness or even erasing parts of the layer. Experiment with your graphics application and see what you can do. 15. You should make a note of the changes you made to a dirt layer so that you can repeat them with the next psd you work on. 16. Save your edited texture. You can save it anywhere you like, as long as you remember where it is. I would recommend saving it as a .jpeg file. 17. Follow steps 2. to 16. for the next psd file. 18. At the end you should have new dirty face, limbs and torso textures for V4 saved somewhere on your computer in .jpeg format. 19. Now open Poser or DAZ Studio and load V4 into the scene. 20. Here I would recommend loading the MAT pose for the texture set that you used to make the new dirty textures first if you have one. 21. Now you can go to the material room or surface select menu and swap the skin textures for your new dirty skin textures (check your handbook for details if you need to). I hope you enjoy using these texture overlays to add some more realism to your renders! If you have any questions just drop me an email at the address above.
