Explanation of contents: ACEVTUTORIAL.pdf is a 14 page in-depth tutorial on using the ACEV4.psd, setting up the maps manually in DAZ Studio and setting up the maps manually in Poser. It was written for Anatomically Correct Evolution, but the techniques described within also apply fully to Anatomically Correct Evolution: Variations 4. V4 Dark.dsa etc. are DAZ Studio LIE (Layered Image Editor) presets for adding the genital overlay maps quickly to any figure that uses the V4 UV map. V5 Dark.dsa etc. are DAZ Studio LIE presets for adding the genital overlay maps quickly to any figure that uses the V5 UV map. The LIE is not a requirement because the tutorial describes in detail how to set up the maps manually, but it does speed things up quite a bit. ACEV4.psd is a PSD file containing all variations of the genital overlay maps for the V4 and V5 UV maps. The texture maps are ready made transparent .png and .jpg texture and displacement maps for use in DAZ Studio and Poser. Each folder also contains extra maps for use with the LIE presets. 2. Using the product: The ACEVTUTORIAL.pdf gives you in depth information on using the ACEV4.psd and setting everything up in DAZ Studio and Poser. Please read through it carefully. Remember to check the option in Poser to use displacement maps when rendering! DAZ Studio users who own the LIE (Layered Image Editor) can also use the included LIE presets to quickly and easily set up the ready made maps: a. Load a skin texture for the figure you are using that uses the V4 or V5 UV map. NOTE: although the presets are labelled V4 or V5 they will work with any figure and texture that uses the V4 or V5 UV map. b. Depending on how dark the skin texture is load the preset that you think will work best. Light, Mid and Dark skin tones are available. You can find the presets in \Presets\Materials\ACEV4\. c. Load the V4 or V5 Displacement.dsa to activate the displacement map and settings. NOTE: You won't see anything happen yet, the displacement will be visible after rendering. (V4 and V5 Displacement USS.dsa is for use with texture sets that use Uber Surface Shader materials e.g. Bree for V5). d. You are now ready to render in DAZ Studio. If you have any questions just send an email to the address above. I hope you enjoy using these maps and settings to add more realism to your renders. Have fun!
