Needed Files List:

Poser 9 or newer OR DAZ Studio 4.5 or newer (free, advanced or pro)


Installation Instructions:

1. DAZ Studio: Extract the Zip folder inside your DAZ Studio content folder ("My Library"). 

2. Poser: Extract the Zip folder to the folder where your Poser Runtime is located or click the "Content" tab inside Poser, then click "Install From Zip Archive" and finally navigate to the zip file for this product that you downloaded. The zip folder also needs to be extracted inside the "My Library" folder where you installed the "Genesis Starter Essentials for Poser" usually Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library

2. As an alternative you can extract the Zip folder to a different location and manually copy the folders and files to the correct location as listed below.

Application Instructions:


Using the hair in DAZ Studio 4.5 or newer with Genesis:


1. Start DAZ Studio and load Genesis into the scene. Select Genesis.

2. Open \People\Genesis\Hair\Alana Hair and load the Alana Hair file.

3. To change the textures and material settings open \People\Genesis\Hair\Alana Hair\Materials

4. Load the MAT settings to change the textures.

5. The IC MAT pose can be loaded and then any diffuse colour chosen from the surfaces tab. See your DAZ Studio handbook for info on changing the diffuse colour in the surfaces tab.

6. The hair will automatically follow any morph that you set for the Genesis figure e.g. V5, S5 etc.



Using the hair in Poser 9 or newer with Genesis:


1. Start Poser and load Genesis into the scene. Select Genesis.

2. Open the Hair library (Poser Runtime) and then Alana Hair and load the Alana Hair file.

3. To change the textures and material settings open the Pose library (Poser Runtime) and then AlanaHair

4. Load the MAT settings to change the textures.

5. The IC MAT pose can be loaded and then any diffuse colour chosen in the Material Room. See your Poser handbook for info on changing the diffuse colour in the Material Room.

6. The hair will automatically follow any morph that you set for the Genesis figure e.g. V5, S5 etc.
