Needed Files List:

DAZ Studio 4.8 or newer (free, advanced or pro) PLUS Genesis 3 Female Base Figure



Installation Instructions:

1. Extract the Zip folder inside your DAZ Studio content folder ("My Library"). This can usually be found in Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library OR if you usually use the DAZ Install Manager to install your content then the library will usually be in Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library.

2. As an alternative you can extract the Zip folder to a different location and manually copy the folders and files to the correct location as listed below.

Application Instructions:


Layered Image Editor method:

1. Start DAZ Studio and load Genesis 3 Female into the scene. Select Genesis 3 Female.

2. Load a skin texture set that you would like to use (NOTE: The texture set must be for the Base Female UV set, if your texture is for another UV set then use the Geometry Shell method described below).

3. To load the DI Utagawa tattoo presets open \People\Genesis 3 Female\Materials\DI Utagawa and then load the tattoo preset that you want to use.


Geometry Shell method:

1. Start DAZ Studio and load Genesis 3 Female into the scene. Select Genesis 3 Female.

2. In the menu bar at the top click Create and then New Geometry Shell and then Accept.

3. Select the Geometry Shell in the Scene tab.

4. To load the DI Utagawa Geometry Shell settings open \People\Genesis 3 Female\Materials\DI Utagawa and then load either Arm GS or Torso GS, depending on what tattoo you want to use.

5. To load the DI Utagawa tattoo presets open \People\Genesis 3 Female\Materials\DI Utagawa and then load the tattoo preset that you want to use.

6. Now you can select Genesis 3 Female in the Scene tab and load a skin texture set that you would like to use (NOTE: The texture set can be for any UV set when you use this method).

7. To match the tattoo exactly to your skin texture, you can select the Geometry Shell in the Scene tab, open the Surfaces tab, select the Geometry Shell again and then change the color of the Base Color option.

NOTE: If you experience any problems with seams on the tattoos when using this method, it is usually because you spawned the Geometry Shell from a Genesis 3 Female figure that you had previously been working on and the UV set was changed. Select the Geometry Shell in the Scene tab, open the Surfaces tab, select the Geometry Shell again and make sure that the Base Female UV set is selected.
