Extract the Zip folder to your Poser folder. NOTE: if using an early German version of Poser remember to copy the folders found in the Runtime\libraries\Pose folder after extraction to Runtime\libraries\Posen or else the product will not function properly, this may also be true for other languages other than English. NOTE: After unzipping you can find the PSD files in your Poser folder in the M3_Injuries_Kit_PSD folder. 2. Start Poser 4/5/6. 2. Load your Michael 3 figure. 3. Open the Pose library and then open M3 Injuries Kit INJ REM 4. Inject all of the INJ poses into the M3 figure by clicking on them one by one. 5. Select the body of the M3 figure and set the dials e.g. Nose 1 as required 6. Open the Pose library and then open M3 Injuries Kit Poses 7. Pose the M3 figure by clicking on one of the poses. 8. How to use the PSD files: a To use the PSD files you will need Photoshop 5.5 or better OR the free paint program GIMP 2.0.1 or better IMPORTANT: it is recommended that you make a backup copy of the original PSD files before you start. b Open the PSD file that you want to use NOTE: All head injuries are in one file but body injuries are split into two (bruises and cuts). It is recommended that you start off by adding cuts, then bruises and finally blood to your body texture for best effects (this is explained in more detail later) c At first you will see nothing except for a white and grey checkered screen (this is because the injuries are all on transparent layers and all are set to invisible) IMPORTANT: Make sure that the layers dialogue is active so that you can see a list of the layers that make up the image. d Load the M3 texture that you would like to use (body or head) e Resize the texture to match the size of the Injuries PSD file e.g. 3000x3999 f Select all of the texture and then copy it g Paste the texture into the Injuries PSD file h You should now see only your texture that you pasted into the Injuries PSD file i You can delete the original texture that you copied, because you won't be needing it anymore IMPORTANT: If you had to resize the texture remember to delete it without saving or else your original texture will be lost. j If you are using GIMP you will need to right click on the texture layer and then select new layer in order to include it as a layer in the image properly k Move the M3 texture layer to the bottom of the list, if it is not already there l Now you can start to click on the box to the far left of each layer description to make them visible, in this way you can "turn on" the injuries that you want to create for your texture m You can change the level of transparency, brightness, saturation, colour etc. of each layer to get exactly the effect that you want n It is also possible to cut out parts of each layer, paste them back as a new layer and then rotate or move them around to create even more possibilities o When you are satisfied with the texture that you have created you can save a copy with a filename of your choosing in a folder of your choosing IMPORTANT: make sure you remember what you called the new texture and where you saved it p If you are using a body texture it is recommended that you start off by adding cuts to the texture, then save the texture, reopen the texture and paste into the bruises PSD file (step d-g), add bruises and red areas, save the texture again and finally reopen and paste into the cuts and blood PSD file once again to add blood. You must not do this, but it does give the besst results. q If you are using a head texture this is not an issue, because all head injuries are in one PSD file. r Once you have saved your texture you can open Poser and follow steps 1-7 before choosing which materials and textures your M3 figure will use. s To choose textures go to the material room (Poser 5/6) or open the surface selection menu (Poser 4) t Select the texture map that you created for the correct body part that you want to put it on e.g. If you saved your head texture as BlackEyeHead.jpg choose that texture map for the skin of the figures head u When you have chosen texture maps for each body part you can render your figure Usage Tips and Limitations: The injuries do not have a huge amount of detail, this kit is supposed to be a starting point for you to spend more time and create injuries with more detail. This was done on purpose because e.g. everyone has a different idea of how blood should look or how dark a bruise should be or what colours it should be made up of. Always remember to make copies of the original PSD files before you start and always make backup copies of the textures you alter so that you always have the original saved. LICENCE: You must not sell or redistribute this pack, the morphs or the PSD files in any way, but you are entitled to sell or redistribute body and head textures that you create with it.
