NOTE: Works fine with Poser 4/PP/5 too, but you will get error messages because of the version numbers of some items. There are also no .rsr files included for Poser 4. Installation Instructions: 1. Extract the Zip folder to your Poser folder or your DAZ/studio/content folder. 2. As an alternative you can extract the Zip folder to a different location and manually copy the folders and files to the correct location as listed below. Exact folder names and locations: ..\Runtime\libraries\Props\TheBook\ Bookmark.png Bookmark.pp2 Magnifying Glass P6.png Magnifying Glass P6.pp2 Magnifying Glass.png Magnifying Glass.pp2 The Book.png The Book.pp2 ..\Runtime\textures\TheBook\Templates\ cover.jpg page.jpg ..\Runtime\textures\TheBook\ bookmark tex.jpg cover tex 2.jpg page tex 2.jpg page tex 3.jpg page tex 4.jpg page tex 5.jpg page tex 6.jpg page tex 7.jpg tassel trans.jpg Application Instructions: 1. Start Poser or DAZ Studio. 2. Empty the scene and then open the Props library and then TheBook. 3. Load the props that you require. 4. The Book prop is loaded with some of the morphs already activated, this is just to show you what kind of things are possible with the morphs. 5. If you want to start from scratch then just select the book and reset it or go through the dials menu and set all of the morphs to 0.000 6. If you are using the props in a scene that you created you will probably need to scale them and move them around. I always find that the most accurate way to do this is to use the dials in the dials menu for Trans x,y and z and also the dial for Scale. 7. If you are using a character e.g. Victoria 4 and you want to parent the props to that figure then simply positon and scale the props however you want and then parent the prop to e.g. the hand of the figure. You can then save this version of the prop and it will be a smart prop. 8. When you use the page morphs and bend morphs please note that you need to be careful when setting them e.g. if you set the page 1 morph to 1.000 and then the page 2 morph also to 1.000 then you will get weird effects. Take a look at the morph settings that the book has when it is loaded to see an example of settings that work well together e.g page 1 set to 0.100, page 2 set to 0.200 and page 3 set to 0.300. Take some time to experiment with the morphs yourself to see what kind of things can be done and what the limitations are. NOTE: All morphs can be set in the dials menu after you select the book. 9. I have included texture templates for the cover and page so that you can make your own textures. This means that the possibilities for this product are infinite. Using the base model and your own textures you can create any kind of book that your heart desires :) 10. If you have Poser 6 or 7 then you can use the Magnifying Glass P6 prop and if you have DAZ Studio or an earlier version of Poser you can use the Magnifying Glass prop. The only difference between the two props is that the P6 version has a light breaking effect built into the lense so that it looks more like a real magnifying glass. This only works with Poser 6 and 7 though. If you have any questions just send an email to the address above. I hope you enjoy this product for Poser and DAZ Studio! Cheers Ad
