Poser 4, Poser PP, Poser 5, Poser 6, Poser 7, DAZ Studio 1.5 and the Victoria 4 or 4.1 Base from DAZ.


NOTE: The FBMs do not work automatically with the V4 morphs in DAZ Studio and you will need to set them manually for each body part of each piece of clothing.


NOTE II: The V4 skin texture and face morph shown in the promo renders are NOT included. The texture is from my Custom Reality pack and the face morph is my free Svetlana for V4.
  


Installation Instructions:

1. Extract the Zip folder to your Poser folder or your DAZ/studio/content folder.

2. As an alternative you can extract the Zip folder to a different location and manually copy the folders and files to the correct location as listed below.

Application Instructions:

1. Start Poser or DAZ Studio.

2. Empty the scene and then load V4 (original V4 with yellow or blue background, NOT a V4 figure you have altered and saved). Turn off IK and zero the figure.

3. Open the Character library and then WarriorV4.

4. Load the items of clothing that you want to use *IMPORTANT* Make sure you select V4 every time before you load an item of clothing or the automatic morphs will not work properly.

5. Parent each item to V4.

6. Open the Props library and then WarriorV4.

7. Load the props that you want to use. All of them are smart props and will snap to V4 automatically.

8. Open the Pose library and then WarriorV4.

9. Load one of the example poses you want to use.

10. Morphs:

Poser 4/PP/5/6/7

a) The FBMs included in the clothing (Bodybuilder, Amazon, Fitness) change automatically as you set the V4 body morph dials on the V4 figure.

b) To use the other morphs simply select the whole body of the item of clothing you want to morph and then set the dials as you require.


DAZ Studio 1.5 and above

a) The FBMs do not work automatically in DAZ Studio and you will need to set them manually for each body part of each item of clothing. e.g. Set up your V4 figure with the morphs you want to use and then go through each body part of each item of clothing and set the morph to the same value.

b) The other morphs work normally and can be set following the same instructions as step b) above.


*IMPORTANT* The Breast Armor and Harness figures are locked when you load them. After you have parented them to V4 click Figure in the top menu toolbar and uncheck the "lock figure" option to be able to use the morphs and magnetise the figures to V4.

NOTE: The Breast Armor may need some adjustment in DAZ Studio to stop pokethrough. Select the chest part and rotate it slightly to get a perfect fit.

NOTE II: If you are using the Harness and Breast Armor with the Bodybuilder FBM you may need to use the front out and back out morphs included in the Harness to position in properly on top of the armor. If you are not using the Breast Armor set the Fit to Armor morph to 0.000.

11. Adjusting the smart props:

a) When you have loaded all the parts you want to use and you have posed V4 you may need to make some adjustments to the smart props.

b) Select the smart prop you want to adjust and use the dials to scale, rotate or translate them.

Smart props were used instead of conforming figures to give a more realistic look to the armor. If conforming figures were used you would not need to make any adjustments, but the armor would bend like it was made of cloth or rubber. Not very effective in battle! :)

12. Alternate textures:

a) To use the chainmail second skin or the alternate textures for the Breast Armor and Skirt simply select the item you want to change and then open the Pose library, WarriorV4 and load the MAT pose that you need.



Tips and Limitations:

If you use any extreme poses there may be some pokethrough on some items of clothing. You can usually solve this by adjusting your pose slightly, using the morphs included in the items or adjusting the smart props.

I included templates for all the items for you to make your own textures. You can give away the textures you make for free or you can sell them.
