Start Poser or DAZ Studio and load V4.2 into the scene. 2. Open the Pose library and then open WolfV4. 3. Load the Wolf INJ pose (nothing will happen right now). 4. To make a female wolf load the Wolf Female pose. 5. To make a male wolf load the Wolf Male pose. 6. To remove the morph load the Wolf REM pose. 7. Load the Wolf MAT pose to activate the textures and materials. DAZ Studio and Poser 4 users will need to set bump mapping manually. See your handbook for details. 8. Load one of the 5 poses to pose the character. 9. *IMPORTANT* make sure that the preview window is 800x800 in size or the following steps will not work properly. If you are using a smaller monitor you can set it to 600x600 and then finally set it to 800x800 to render. See your handbook for details on changing the size of the preview window. 10. Open the Camera library and then WolfV4 and load one of the cameras that matches your pose e.g. if you are using Pose 1 load camera 1a or 1b. 11. Open the Light library and then WolfV4 and load the light that matches the camera you are using e.g. light 1a matches camera 1a. 12. Render your scene with shadows turned off. Remember that your final render must be 800x800 in size. Adding hair using a graphics program and the included PSD files: The included PSD files can be opened with any application that can handle PSD files e.g. Photoshop or GIMP (GIMP is open source and available for free). 1. Open your render in the graphics program of your choice. 2. Open the PSD file that matches the settings you used e.g. to use WolfV41aFEMALE.PSD you need to have rendered a female wolf in pose 1 with light and camera 1a. (the WolfV4PSD folder can be found wherever you extracted the file). 3. Copy the PSD layer into your render and make sure it is on the top layer. 4. Erase the small marks in the corners (used to help fitting). 5. Save your new image. Adding hair manually: Open the WolfV4Tutorial folder and start a slide show to view the tutorial or view each picture individually. (the WolfV4Tutorial folder can be found wherever you extracted the file). You may use this package as you wish in your commercial and non-commercial renders.
